A hot plate stirrer is only as accurate as the temperature it actually delivers to the sample — not the plate. The MI0102002 includes two internal PT1000 sensors plus one external PT1000 probe, so you can clamp the probe directly into your reaction vessel and run closed-loop temperature control on the liquid itself. 0.1°C display resolution, 600 W heating output, and a 50–325°C safety cutoff on top of an explosion-proof brushless DC drive.

Why Closed-Loop Sample Temperature Control Matters

A hot plate's internal sensor measures the plate, not the liquid. The gap between those two temperatures depends on vessel material, sample volume, stir rate, ambient airflow — variables that change run to run. An open-loop hot plate set to 80°C might deliver 73°C to a thin-walled flask one day and 87°C to a thick beaker the next. Reproducibility evaporates the moment the vessel changes.

The MI0102002 ships with an external PT1000 probe that the unit auto-detects and switches into closed-loop control mode. Clamp the probe into the sample, set 80°C, and the controller drives the heating element to keep the liquid at 80°C — not the plate. Display resolution is 0.1°C, control accuracy with the external probe is ±1°C, and two internal PT1000 sensors back up the safety cutoff.
