Gentier Mini+ Portable
Real-Time PCR System — 4 Channels

16 Wells · 4 Fluorescence Channels · 1-Second Full-Block Scan · 3.2 kg · Full 4-Plex Multiplex · WiFi + USB + LAN

Until now, full 4-plex multiplex qPCR — target, internal control, second pathogen, and reference dye simultaneously in a single tube — has required a bench-top instrument that stays in the central lab. The Gentier Mini+ changes that equation: 4 fluorescence channels, 1-second 16-well scanning, and a 3.2 kg form factor that deploys to any field site, mobile lab, or on-site testing station without recalibration — delivering full multiplex capability where the samples actually are.

Why 4 Channels Is the Threshold That Changes Everything in Portable qPCR

Two-channel portable qPCR instruments cover the simplest singleplex and duplex formats — one target, one internal control. That covers routine singleplex screening. What it cannot do is run a validated 4-plex infectious disease panel: simultaneous detection of two pathogens, an internal amplification control, and a passive reference dye — all in a single tube, in a single run, at the point of need. For that, labs have historically had no choice but to batch samples and ship them to a central instrument.

The Gentier Mini+ resolves that constraint. With 4 channels spanning FAM, HEX/VIC, ROX/Texas Red, and Cy5 — the complete dye set of most clinical multiplex panels — it runs the same assay formats as a bench-top 96-well instrument, in a package that fits in a carry bag. Add endpoint fluorescence analysis and melting curve analysis to the on-board software suite, and the Mini+ becomes the first genuinely full-capability portable qPCR platform for field and mobile lab deployment.

Gentier Mini vs. Mini+ — What the Plus Adds

Gentier Mini — 2 Channels

  • 2 fluorescence channels (FAM, HEX/VIC)
  • Singleplex and duplex assay formats only
  • Target + internal control — no spare channels
  • Qualitative, absolute & relative quantification
  • SNP analysis
  • No endpoint fluorescence analysis
  • No melting curve analysis
  • No web-based file download

Gentier Mini+ — 4 Channels ✦ Upgraded

  • 4 fluorescence channels (FAM, HEX/VIC, ROX, Cy5)
  • Full 4-plex multiplex panel capability
  • Target + IC + 2nd pathogen + passive reference
  • Qualitative, absolute & relative quantification
  • SNP analysis
  • Endpoint fluorescence analysis — added
  • Melting curve analysis — added
  • Web-based experiment file download — added

Full 4-Plex Multiplex, Portable

Four channels — FAM, HEX/VIC, ROX/Texas Red, Cy5 — cover every dye slot in a standard clinical multiplex panel. Run a complete 4-plex assay in the field with the same channel configuration as your bench-top reference instrument, eliminating the sample batching and transport delay that degrades time-sensitive diagnostic results.

1-Second Scan, No Position Artifacts

The high-brightness LED system completes fluorescence scanning of all 16 wells simultaneously in 1 second — no sequential scanning, no edge effects, no position-dependent Ct variance. Every well in the block sees the same optical measurement at the same moment in the thermal cycle, regardless of where it sits in the row.

📊

Extended Analysis Suite On-Board

Beyond the standard quantification modes, the Mini+ adds endpoint fluorescence analysis for probe-based genotyping assays and melting curve analysis for SYBR Green and HRM applications — directly on the instrument, without PC software involvement, with results printable via connected thermal printer for immediate on-site documentation.

🌐

Web-Based File Access from Any Device

Experiment files on the Mini+ are accessible via webpage login from any networked device — no USB cable, no dedicated PC, no file transfer software required. Download results from a tablet, review data remotely, and share run files directly from the field to collaborators or regulatory reviewers anywhere in the network.

The only portable qPCR system with 4 channels, melting curve analysis, endpoint fluorescence detection, and web-based file access — all at 3.2 kg. For labs running validated multiplex panels that cannot wait for a central lab turnaround, this is the instrument that eliminates the compromise between portability and analytical capability.

Three Control Modes — Built for Every Deployment

The Gentier Mini+ operates in three distinct control configurations — from fully self-contained field use to networked multi-instrument monitoring — without hardware changes or accessory purchases.

Mode 1

7" Touchscreen — Standalone

Full instrument control on the 7-inch onboard touchscreen with no external devices required. Run protocols, review amplification curves, and print results directly via thermal printer. Zero IT dependency — the complete diagnostic workflow in a single self-contained unit.

Mode 2

PC Software — USB or LAN

Full PC software control and advanced data analysis via USB direct connection or wired LAN. Ideal for mobile lab environments where the Mini+ runs as a networked satellite instrument alongside a workstation, with experiment files downloadable directly via web browser login.

Mode 3

Windows Tablet — WiFi Remote

Remote control and real-time run monitoring via Windows tablet over WiFi. A single operator can oversee multiple Mini+ units simultaneously in high-throughput field screening deployments — monitoring amplification curves and managing protocols across instruments without physical contact.

Ideal Applications

🌍

Field & Mobile Diagnostics

Outbreak containment, border health screening, remote clinic molecular diagnostics, and emergency response operations running 4-plex infectious disease panels — where full multiplex results are needed at the source within a single run.

🐾

Veterinary & Animal Health

On-farm disease surveillance, slaughterhouse pathogen screening, and veterinary diagnostic panels requiring simultaneous detection of multiple pathogens and controls — delivered at the site of sample collection, not days later from a central lab.

🥩

Food Safety & Inspection

On-site food and dairy pathogen multiplex testing, environmental contamination surveillance, and field quality control at processing facilities and inspection bureaus where 4-plex panel capability was previously impossible outside a fixed laboratory.

Connectivity & Integration

From a fully isolated field deployment to a networked multi-instrument lab environment, the Gentier Mini+ adapts its connectivity to whatever infrastructure is available — including web-based file access that is unique to the Mini+ platform.
