Heat / Cool Thermo Mixer
with 3mm Orbital Mixing

Heating · Active Cooling · Mixing · 250–3000 RPM · 7-Inch Touchscreen · Interchangeable Blocks

Most thermomixers either heat or mix — rarely both with precision, and almost never cool. The TMX100C does all three simultaneously, reaching temperatures as low as ambient −15°C and as high as 100°C, while mixing at up to 3000 RPM with a 3mm orbital diameter — all programmable in up to 5 sequential steps from a large color touchscreen.

One Instrument. Three Functions.

Most benchtop mixing workflows require at least two instruments — a heating block for incubation and a separate vortex or shaker for mixing. Temperature-sensitive protocols add a third device for cooling. The TMX100C replaces all of them. Its semiconductor cooling system actively cools samples below ambient temperature while its brushless DC motor maintains orbital mixing — simultaneously, under microprocessor control.

The result is a single compact footprint (332 × 227 × 185mm) that handles restriction digests, enzymatic reactions, protein incubations, cell lysis, and cold-sensitive workflows from a single device. Programmable heating and cooling rates — four options each — mean the instrument transitions between temperature steps at precisely the rate your protocol demands, not whatever the hardware defaults to.

What You Get

The TMX100C is the full-capability model in the Surge Scientific thermomixer range — combining active semiconductor cooling, precision heating, and high-speed orbital mixing in a single compact instrument. Unlike heat-only thermomixers, the TMX100C can actively cool samples to Ambient −15°C while mixing simultaneously, making it the only instrument in its class capable of handling the complete temperature range demanded by modern molecular biology workflows — from cold-sensitive enzyme reactions at 4°C through to denaturation and heat-inactivation at 95–100°C, without changing instruments.

❄️

Active Semiconductor Cooling

Most thermomixers can only heat. The TMX100C uses semiconductor Peltier technology to cool samples to Ambient −15°C — enabling cold-sensitive enzyme reactions, sample preservation below room temperature, and temperature cycling without switching instruments.

⚙️

Precision Temperature Control

Microprocessor control delivers ±0.2°C accuracy at 20–40°C and ±0.5°C uniformity across the block. Four programmable heating rates (up to Full Power or controlled at 5°C/min, 2°C/min, 1°C/min) and four cooling rates prevent thermal shock in sensitive samples.

🔄

High-Speed Orbital Mixing

250–3000 RPM speed range with a 3mm orbital diameter ensures thorough, even mixing across all tube sizes — from 0.1mL PCR tubes to 50mL falcons. Brushless DC motor for low noise and long, maintenance-free life.

📋

Programmable Multi-Step Sequences

Store up to 5 sequential steps with individual temperature, speed, and time settings. Run cycles up to 999 times. Power failure recovery automatically resumes from the last completed step — critical for long overnight protocols.

Auto-detection on every block swap. The TMX100C recognizes installed block modules automatically — no manual configuration required. Switch from a 24×1.5mL microcentrifuge block to a 96-well plate block and the instrument reconfigures itself, eliminating setup errors between back-to-back experiments.
