Paraffin Wax Trimmer
RT+5 to 99°C · ±1°C Accuracy · Grooved Surface · Magnetic Drip Tray · 5–10 Min Heat-Up
LED Display + Rotary Knob · Continuously Adjustable RT–99°C · ±1°C Temperature Accuracy · 250 W · Large Cassette Surface · Grooved Wax Drainage · Magnetic Drip Tray with 5 Disposable Liners · 8-Hour Continuous Operation · UL CSA / cTUVus Certified
The PWT100101 Paraffin Wax Trimmer is the heated cassette-trimming surface that turns histology paraffin cleanup from a messy scraping job into a 5-second wipe. The continuously adjustable RT+5 to 99°C heated surface melts excess paraffin off tissue cassettes on contact — the grooved surface drains the melted wax straight into a magnetically attached drip tray with disposable liners (5 included). ±1°C temperature accuracy, reaches set temperature in 5–10 minutes, runs continuously for up to 8 hours. UL CSA / cTUVus certified. Power failure recovery, over-temperature protection, residual heat warning. Compact 350×160×210 mm footprint fits any histology bench.
Why a Heated Trimmer Beats Manual Cassette Scraping
Every histology lab knows the pain. A microtome operator pulls a paraffin block from the embedding center, and the cassette is coated in excess hardened wax from the embedding step — wax that has to come off before the block can be sectioned cleanly on the microtome. The traditional approach: scrape the wax off with a blade. Paraffin shavings everywhere. Wax stuck to the bench. Wax in the microtome. Wax in the slide drawer. Cassettes scratched from over-aggressive scraping. Operator wrist fatigue from doing this 50 times a day in a busy histology lab.
The PWT100101 takes a different approach: place the cassette on the heated grooved surface, the excess paraffin melts in seconds, and gravity drains it through the grooves into the magnetic drip tray below. No scraping. No shavings. No wax on the bench. The drip tray's 5 disposable liners mean no scrubbing the tray either — when the liner fills, lift it out, drop it in the wax disposal bin, and load the next liner. Continuously adjustable temperature from RT+5 to 99°C means the operator can dial the heat to match the paraffin grade — softer wax for low-temperature paraffin, hotter for high-temperature embedding wax. Large working surface handles multiple cassettes simultaneously, 8-hour continuous operation covers a full shift without cooldown.
RT+5 to 99°C · ±1°C
Continuously adjustable from room-temp+5°C to 99°C with ±1°C accuracy. Reaches set temperature in 5–10 minutes. Dial the heat to match every paraffin grade — softer or harder waxes both handled cleanly.
Grooved Drainage Surface
Large grooved working surface handles multiple cassettes simultaneously. Grooves channel melted wax cleanly toward the drip tray — no shavings, no bench mess, no microtome contamination.
Magnetic Drip Tray + 5 Liners
Magnetically attached drip tray — lifts off cleanly, no fumbling. 5 disposable liners included — when one fills, swap it out, drop the old one in the wax bin. No scrubbing. No solvent cleanup.
Safety + 8-Hour Operation
Power failure recovery mode, over-temperature protection, residual heat warning. UL CSA / cTUVus certified. Continuous operation up to 8 hours covers a full histology shift.
"5 seconds and a wipe replaces 5 minutes and a blade. The heated trimmer that turns paraffin cassette cleanup from messy scraping into clean melting."

Ideal Applications
Clinical Histology Labs
Clinical pathology histology — pre-microtome cassette cleanup for tissue sectioning workflows. Cleaner cassettes mean cleaner sections, sharper microtome blades, and reduced contamination between cases.
Research Histology
Research histology cores, animal pathology, plant histology — any paraffin embedding workflow that needs clean cassettes prior to microtome sectioning.
Teaching & Training Labs
Histotechnology training programs and teaching labs — UL CSA / cTUVus certified safety profile + safety features make this trimmer suitable for student and trainee use.
