Portable Cell Counter — CytoCube
2-Second Read · 6-Sample Slide · Bright Field + Trypan Blue · 1.8 kg
Image-Based Detection · 6 Sample Slots Per Slide · 2 Sec/Sample · CV ≤5% · 1×10⁴–3×10⁷ cells/mL · 25 µL Sample · Up to 10,000 Cells/Sec Analysis · 0–100% Viability · PDF/JPG/XLS Export
The CytoCube is the 1.8 kg image-based cell counter that does in 2 seconds per sample what manual hemocytometer counting takes 10 minutes to do — and does it with CV ≤5%, automated cell detection and tracking, and high-resolution multi-focal-plane imaging that captures cell morphology, size, and shape in addition to the count. Six sample slots in one slide means batch processing in real time. 25 µL sample volume protects precious cells. Counts up to 10,000 cells per second. Bright Field and Trypan Blue modes for total counts and viability assessment in a single device. Compatible with any Windows PC. Export to PDF, JPG, XLS.
Why Image-Based Cell Counting Replaces Hemocytometers
The hemocytometer has been the cell counting workhorse for over a century — a glass slide with a precisely etched grid, a microscope, a pipette, and a graduate student counting cells one at a time. It works. It also takes 5–10 minutes per count, suffers from operator-to-operator variability of 15–25%, fatigues researchers' eyes after a few dozen samples, and produces no record beyond a number scribbled in a notebook. For modern cell biology — where one experiment might require dozens of cell counts before lunch, where reproducibility is non-negotiable, and where image-based morphology data has become a publication standard — the hemocytometer is the bottleneck.
The CytoCube takes a different approach: load up to 6 stained samples onto one slide, slide it in, get 6 counts in 12 seconds. The advanced imaging system captures high-resolution images in multiple focal planes, automatically detects and tracks cells, and produces cell concentration, viability percentage, cell diameter distribution, and morphology data — all exportable to PDF / XLS / JPG for downstream analysis or publication. CV ≤5% means inter-sample variability is at instrument-grade levels, not operator-grade levels. The 1.8 kg footprint and 190×160×82 mm dimensions mean it fits anywhere — including biosafety cabinets where bench space is at a premium.
2 Seconds Per Sample
2-second read time per sample. 6 sample slots in one slide = 6 counts in ~12 seconds. Up to 10,000 cells/second analysis. Hemocytometer-grade data at automation throughput.
CV ≤5% · Image-Based
Inter-sample CV ≤5% — instrument-grade reproducibility, not 15–25% operator variability. Multi-focal-plane high-resolution imaging captures every cell, even in complex samples.
Bright Field + Trypan Blue
Bright Field mode for total cell count + morphology. Trypan Blue mode for viability assessment (0–100%). Both modes in one device — no instrument switching for routine cell-counting workflow.
1.8 kg · 190 × 160 × 82 mm
1.8 kg, 190 × 160 × 82 mm — fits inside a biosafety cabinet. 25 µL sample volume. PDF / JPG / XLS export. Windows PC software included. Wide concentration range (1×10⁴ – 3×10⁷ cells/mL).
"Six samples on one slide. Two seconds each. CV under 5%. The image-based cell counter that turns hemocytometer counting from a 10-minute chore into a 12-second answer."
