Rotary Evaporator
RV231 · Electronic Lift · 5 L Bath to 180°C
Motorized Electronic Lift · 20–320 RPM Brushless DC · 1500 cm² Condenser · PID Controller · Touch-Key Operation
The RV231 is the RV131 — same 1500 cm² double-layer vertical condenser, same brushless DC drive at 20–320 RPM, same 5 L water/oil bath to 180°C, same graphite-PTFE seal — upgraded to a motorized electronic lift. The evaporation flask raises and lowers at the touch of a button, not a hand crank. For shift-based labs, solvent recovery benches, and anyone who lifts glassware more than a few times a day, the electronic lift is the feature that quietly adds years of working comfort.
Why Electronic Lift Is Worth the Upgrade
A manual rotovap lift seems like a non-issue — until you use one for a week. Loaded evaporation flask, hot oil bath, glass adapter, condenser column — the whole stack is awkward, heavy, and hot. Cranking the lift up and down between every run gets tiresome fast, and the physical ergonomics discourage the kind of quick spot-checks that actually improve recovery quality. Labs end up leaving the flask in bath long after the distillation is done because lifting it feels like extra work.
The RV231's motorized electronic lift raises and lowers the flask at the touch of a button. You can spot-check the distillation mid-run, reposition the flask for a sample change, and pull the flask out of a hot bath without the physical strain of a manual crank. The lift motion is also smoother and more consistent than manual — which matters for delicate glassware and for stabilizing the setup mid-distillation without knocking anything out of alignment.
Electronic Motorized Lift
Raise and lower the evaporation flask at the touch of a button. Smoother, faster, and safer than manual cranking — especially for heavy loaded flasks above a hot oil bath.
1500 cm² Condenser
Same double-layer vertical condenser as the RV131 — 1500 cm² cooling surface for maximum vapor capture and high solvent recovery rates.
Brushless DC · 20–320 RPM
Same brushless DC drive — 20 to 320 RPM with precise setpoint hold. Gentle for delicate samples, aggressive for fast distillation.
5 L Bath · 180°C · PID
5-liter water/oil heating bath to 180°C (oil) with PID control. Handles high-boiling-point solvents that water-only baths cap out on.
"Everything the RV131 does — with the lift your shoulders will thank you for." — The electronic lift is the upgrade that separates a rotovap you use once in a while from a rotovap you reach for all day, every day.

Ideal Applications
High-Throughput Benches
Labs running multiple distillations per day — the electronic lift prevents fatigue, speeds up batch-to-batch turnaround, and improves bench ergonomics across a shift.
Pharma & Biotech
API purification, formulation work, natural product extraction, and pharmaceutical concentration — where precise lift positioning matters for process consistency.
R&D and QA
Wide applications in chemical, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, R&D labs, and QA — benchtop distillation with the convenience of motorized glassware positioning.
What's in the Box
The RV231 ships as a complete evaporator assembly ready for bench setup. Pair with a diaphragm vacuum pump and chiller for a complete solvent recovery station.
